Machine manufacturer Forsstrom High Frequency AB is based in Lysekil, from where the family business is run by the second and third generations of Forsström. All design, development, marketing and sales of the company's advanced welding machines, which their, largely international customers, use to manufacture e.g. high-quality truck and boat covers, tarpaulins and tents

Forsstrom offers a wide range of machine models that enable high frequency welding in PVC and PU plastics. This process uses a high-frequency electromagnetic field (27.12 MHz) in combination with pressure applied to material surfaces, which softens them and allows them to join together. The process places very high demands on both the precision and quality of the components used in Forsstrom's machines, not least when it comes to adapting to electrical standards (voltage and frequency) that differ from country to country.

Forsstrom came into contact with Tramo early on and quickly realized that the company's transformers met their quality and reliability requirements. Forsstrom looks for suppliers who are flexible and truly understand their needs, where quality, reliability and open communication are the basis for a successful partnership. The result has been a long-term partnership, with Tramo supplying Forsstrom with a wide range of customized transformers - including high voltage, isolation, SPAR (TGS) and incandescent transformers. The transformers from Tramo are a vital part of Forsstrom's welding machines.
