As our power grids become less stable, the issue of power quality is becoming increasingly important. As generator power is now joined by solar and wind power, the use of electronics in power sources is also increasing. Together with various types of voltage conversion using converters and frequency-controlled motors, issues surrounding power quality are increasing.. Throughout the power network, there are components that disrupt the optimal sine wave we aim for. This leads to transients, harmonics, reactive power contributing to phase shifts, flicker, oscillation, and voltage variations. All these issues create imbalances in the power network.

TRAMO ETV manufactures custom filters, tailored according to specific needs and where in the chain intervention is needed. Depending on the application and the requirements set, we develop the appropriate design. We have a wide range of LCL filters, harmonic filters, du/dt filters, or sine filters at our disposal.

For areas where a single inductor is not enough, we customize our filters so that all problems in the facility are eliminated. This passive solution addresses the problem in a more cost-effective way, compared to solutions like an ADF or an Active Front End.
